During the last year, the Labour ministry had reduced the ESIC rates to 4% from 6.5%, for newly covered ESIC areas. To ensure all members benefit from this change, the Government of India has extended the benefit, and amended the rate of contribution under ESIC for all existing or new ESIC members.
